With global warming posing an increasing threat, countries world-wide are placing significant importance on climate change mitigation. The Paris Agreement in 2015 set the objective of limiting global temper-ature increase to "well below 2°C" and aiming for 1.5°C. Recent reports from the UN's IPCC emphasize the need to peak greenhouse gas emis-sions before 2025, reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 (compared to 2019), and achieve net zero emissions by 2050 to stay within the 1.5°C target. Currently, 148 countries have embraced the net zero initiative, including Taiwan, which declared its goal in 2021. Taiwan is actively learning from international practices and experi-ences in net zero transformation to develop a governance framework, public participation mechanisms, and policy education for its own net zero path. The Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management Act web-site and the ClimateTalks Platform are continually updated to improve government-public communication on climate issues. Additionally, sup-port is provided for understanding the 12 Net Zero Emission Key Strat-egies and the work of the Climate Change and Net Zero Transition Task Force under the National Council for Sustainable Development. These efforts aim to enhance the government's effectiveness in climate gov-ernance and foster long-term partnerships for successful national and societal net zero transformation. This project involves analyzing net-zero transition case studies from five countries (UK, EU, South Korea, Japan, and our country). It aims to provide recommendations for advancing net-zero governance in our country. The project includes submitting 11 monthly reports on climate change communication, organizing five meetings and one press confer-ence, and attending international conferences (SBI, SBSTA, COP27) to analyze global stocktake, transparency, and public participation mecha-nisms. Additionally, it involves designing interactive sections on the "ClimateTalks Platform," creating bilingual platforms, and ensuring ac-cessibility and cybersecurity. The project focuses on understanding and analyzing 12 key net-zero transition strategies and their economic viabil-ity. It also involves translating and producing policy materials and as-sisting in the development of the Climate Change and Net-Zero Transi-tion Task Force framework. Lastly, it helps compile achievements relat-ed to SDG Goal 13 in climate change and net-zero transition.
